Lara Croft: Relic Run App Reviews

Your game is a steaming pile of crap,I have a new device,tons of memory,and the fastest internet,so all of your excuses for it being our device issue is crap. Fix it or Im going to write a not so nice email to Apple.

This game looks good, is fun, and difficult. The graphics and the animations are well done. Coins are easy to come by, but gems are not, without $$, I have no lag or crashing issues that others are complaining about. Im running it on an iPhone 6 with the latest iOS. Update July 2016: I quit playing this game for months and then re-downloaded it. What happened to this game? You finish levels in the middle of a run? The game seems to run slower, and it seems as if there are less coins. The addition of the little progress map seems silly. Disappointing update, whenever it occurred.

Desert Ruins cannot be accessed due to an error in downloading the required file. Every time it responds with a failure. I like this game but this issue is really frustrating. Please fix it!

Love the game

I havent gotten very far, but its been great so far! I love Lara Crofts character, so its fun to have an app that you can play on the go (thats free). It has lots of extra things you can do besides just running (i.e. Shooting, swinging, wall running, driving, etc.), and unlike Temple Run it has somewhat of a storyline that guides you through the quests. I think its great so far.

Note: Square Enix has since monetized this game out the wazoo (which is saying something, considering where it started), and its 10 times as laggy as it used to be. Ive stopped playing, but I pop in every now and then. Still a fun game, assuming youve stockpiled enough to get around the major ammo, health, and weapon nerfs, but not so much for people who played from the start and knew how fun it used to be. Also, probably a year after release, and its only released 1 new zone out of 3 since it was first released. Its been several months since Tibet was released. Personally, I don’t care that it’s based on another game - I wouldn’t have played that game were it not for this version. I’ve been playing and watching “Tomb Raider” games and various franchise things since I was in 1st grade. A free “Tomb Raider” themed game I can play on my phone with one finger? Sign me up. I downloaded this like three days after it was released. And it has gorgeous animation. Maybe this is because Tibet is supposed to be harder than the previous zones, but the camera is very slow to turn and doesn’t always look at the right angles. Coupled with the frequent scenery blockage (e.g., craggy cliffs), this makes it hard to see things. Sometimes you literally cannot attack before getting hit because the camera doesn’t move fast enough to give you targets before said targets fire at you. Most obstacles are last minute, typically due to the frequent turning and slow moving camera to the point that choices are constantly made split-second and about half of them are sheer luck, not skill. Oh there was a bridge there? Glad I accidentally moved her to the left - something that’s happened a great number of times at this point. Then there are the targets you still can’t fire at because the camera is too low or they’re on top of a hill and only visible just when they’re out of range and you have to attempt to kill them when you can se the corner of their foot on the side of the screen because if you hit they’ve thrown a rock in your face. The mini spiders are nigh impossible to see and the best - really only way - to get them is by firing until you hit them and always fire at those spots because trying to find them visually is pointless. It’s also really irritating how they basically downgraded everything. I like the new visual scheme - with how you have levels and how it made finding artifacts a LOT less irritating and how achievements give you GEMS instead of pointless coins and how drop times are shorter. But before the update, the only thing I hadn’t upgraded was the vehicle suit. After the upgrade, I had to RE-upgrade everything, and all my weapons were weaker. I can’t finish the last two levels because my weapons aren’t strong enough to kill the ogres before they kill me and if I keep trying to get there via levels instead of infinite running, I’ll run out of ammo because the pistols are useless when not maxed and if I run out of secondary ammo, well… It’s a nightmare. I don’t mind all the extra vanity stuff (e.g., different skins for guns and clothing), but I wish they’d spend more time fixing the camera and working on the next zone. I’d also happily pay the average rate to take down ads, but there isn’t an option for that, so the stupid things pop up everywhere.

Like I love the game its the best game in history but only thing in the update is weird but nice like downloaded the game 2 years ago and it was awesome and it got deleted by it self and I forgot the name then after 2years(which is now)and I dowloaded it and its totally diffrent in a good way

The only thing is, is I am having a hard time getting gems. I dont wanna buy an Itunes card just for gems.

This game took runner games to new level. Only if it had been properly optimised, it would have been at the top!

I used to have this game a long time ago and I remembered it being very fun and addictive. Then I reinstalled it now to find out the game had a huge update that ruined the game. Why are there different levels to do!?!? I liked it so much better when you just free run instead of completing levels. Now its not as fun as I thought it was. I really wish you guys would change it back. Then Ill give it a better rating.

I have been stuck on level 38 for 3 weeks!!! Why do you make this game impossible? Do you not want your players to succeed through the game? Its not even fun anymore. Im probably just going to delete the game.

Will there be another update with more levels, I recently finished all levels available but the game doesnt appear to be finished?

This is probably the best 3-lane running game Ive ever played. There are levels, so its not like its just an endless running game like others of its kind. But there is still an endless option if you want to play it that way. Every few levels provides something new to keep you on your toes. The bosses are straight up awesome. I love this game! The only reason I give it four stars instead of five is because of two issues that I have. For starters, the controls dont always work the way they should. There are times where I have slid exactly like Im supposed to, and still die. Once, I even jumped and Lara slid instead; and it caused me to die. Ive only had this problem in the desert level, not the jungle level. Im hoping this problem wont be present in the mountain level, but I havent gotten there yet. The second problem I have is that things that cost diamonds are WAY too expensive. But, I guess every app needs to make a profit somehow. Overall, this game is amazing and I would recommend it to anyone who likes running games, Tomb Raider, or is just looking for a fun new app.

From the first level Im hooked. So far I have no complaints.

I downloaded this game when it first came out and rather enjoyed it for a little while. Every time Ive come back since then, theyve added a little more content, but made the game substantially less fun. When I first started playing, I could upgrade several boosters all the way to the top by using the in-game currency--now to do it past rank 5 requires premium currency. Now they want me to watch ads to earn randomly selected and frankly paltry rewards. Now they want me to watch ads just to be allowed to replay a level. The devs have started to stink of greed, and I strongly urge anybody considering this game to pass it by. It used to be a good endless runner that offered mostly cosmetic options for premium currency--now its just another trashy app store wallet trap.
